Set your order cutoff by weekday and time
September 12, 2026
You know when you need orders in: Tuesday at 10 PM, or Thursday evening for that week's menu. Translating that into hours before a menu week starts was extra work, and a deadline inside the week itself was not supported. The cutoff controls now cover both.
What changed
For menus on a regular weekly schedule, choose a weekday, a time and which week the deadline falls in. The preview underneath names the actual closing date and time in your shop's timezone, so you can check the result before saving.
Choose of the week before when you need orders closed ahead of the menu week. Choose of that same week to keep taking orders after the week has started: a Monday-start menu with a Thursday 8 PM deadline can still be bought on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
The cutoff now lives beside the schedule it belongs to, on Menus → Rotation, Evergreen or Weekly Menus. Hand-built menus without a regular weekly schedule, and existing schedules with multiple periods per week, keep the hours-based control.
Why it matters
Shops with a production lead time need next week's orders closed early. Shops preparing food for pickup may need to keep this week's menu available while the week is running. Both can now describe their deadline directly, with a preview that makes clear which menu it closes.
The deadline still closes ordering and customer changes for that menu week. Moving it into the week keeps both available longer, so choose a time that leaves you enough room to prepare the meals before your first delivery or pickup.
How to use it
Open the Menus tab that defines your schedule and find Week schedule. Choose when orders close, select whether that day falls in the same week or an earlier week, then read the closing date in the preview and save.
Your saved cutoff stays the same until you change it. A cutoff of zero still closes the menu at the start of its week; to sell into the week, choose a deadline later in that same week.
