Auto-assign can repeat paid add-ons

September 30, 2026

Slot-based auto-assignment has always repeated a customer's included meals when they don't choose, but never a paid add-on. A customer who added a Premium meal every week had to add it again every week, or their next box went out without it. You can now let those picks repeat too.

What it is

Under Auto-assign on renewal, an Also repeat option appears beside slot-based auto-assignment, named after your paid section — Also repeat Premium Meals, for example. Turn it on and the paid add-ons a customer bought in their last order are carried into a week they leave unchosen, and charged again at the current price.

Exactly what they bought is repeated, never more. Your paid section's limit is a ceiling, not a target: a customer is never given extra add-ons to fill it, and a customer who bought none is not given any.

It is off by default. With it off, paid add-ons are only included in weeks the customer adds them, as before.

Why it matters

Some shops sell their paid section as part of the box rather than as a one-off treat, and customers coming from another subscription app expect a standing selection to stay put. This lets those shops keep that behaviour without asking customers to log in every week.

How to set it up

Open Menus → Settings and find Auto-assign on renewal. The option is shown once slot-based auto-assignment is on and you have a saved selection section priced per item. Tick Also repeat, then save.
