One-time purchases

Not every customer wants to commit to a recurring plan. One-time purchases let you sell a single-delivery box — a trial, a gift, a one-off order — with billing and fulfillment handled the same way as subscriptions, minus the renewal.

What it is

A one-time purchase is a non-recurring order for a single delivery. Customers pick a menu and a delivery just like a subscriber, but there's no renewal; the order is billed once with its own charge date and appears in Orders next to your recurring deliveries.

Why it matters

One-time boxes are how a lot of customers try you before subscribing, and how existing customers send gifts or top up. Supporting them natively means you capture that demand without a separate product setup or a manual workaround.

How to set it up

Enable one-time purchasing on the plan, set the charge date behavior for one-time orders, and customers can choose a single delivery instead of a subscription. One-time orders show up in Orders with their menu, delivery and amount.
