Nutrition and tags on menu cards

Menu cards can now carry the information customers use to choose: calories, protein and fat as nutrition badges, and labels such as High Protein, Vegan or Chef's Choice as tag pills. The details come from the Shopify product data you already maintain, so the menu stays in step with your catalog.

What it is

Nutrition and tags are two optional layers you can turn on for storefront menu cards. For nutrition, map calories, protein and fat to your shop's product metafields. For tags, use the Shopify product tags already attached to each meal and, if needed, choose an allowlist so internal tags never reach customers.

Why it matters

Customers can compare meals without opening every product or leaving the menu picker. Macro-focused businesses can put the numbers up front, while dietary and merchandising labels make a larger menu easier to scan.

Because the source remains Shopify, there is no second nutrition sheet or tag system to maintain inside Servd. The same attributes work across weekly menus and reusable templates.

How to set it up

On the Pro plan, open Menus, then Settings. Turn on nutrition and map any of the three badges you want to show; turn on product tags and optionally enter the tags that are safe to display. New menu items pick up the data when you add them, and Apply to products already in menus refreshes existing menus and templates.
